Simply Little Things

This year my kind mates here, Gozie and Rufina brought me some cuties from where they were travelled to. When Gozie had to travel to NYC for her side-duty helping her sister’s wedding preparation (it had been done! :)) congrats to her sister, Ngozi!), my spirit said that “Goz, magneetts!”. Yikes, sounds cheesy yet I know how generous Gozie is to me :). I was so pleasant when she went to our office and gave me three cuties (and all of them are grey! My fav color!) plus a NYC iconic tee. I’ve posted them in my Instagram before.

The other one was from Rufina. What she brought for me was a little special, I got David Beckham’s book!. We chatted through Whatsap a day before she left London and asked me what did I want? I thought an Union Jack cap was cute enough for me until I remembered that I wanted to add Beckham’s biography on my book collections (I’m gonna post about that book separately, there is so many iconic pics of Beckham worth to share. Definitely). So I asked her if she didn’t mind to get it for me and I would pay later. After she returned and Whatsap me again that she would send my souvenirs (and for my flatmates as well, plus chocolates for entire managers in office) she said “no, never mind to pay back”. Oh she’s definitely too-kind :).

Pardon for the last ‘trying-to-look-cute-yet-I-looked-ridiculous’ selfie of me :P.

There is a little ‘thing’ I love from souvenirs. When I get something from my kind mates, or when I bring something for my mates like this, souvenirs could be ‘simply little things’ that remind you and me to those people. Cause someday when you aren’t around them anymore, at least, there is sweet memory of kindness you used to share with. I always believe that.

Oh hi Alice Gao!

Aw, Alice Gao just made my day. It was a little (I’m lying), a little surprise for me. Six hours ago when I saw a notification on my iPhone screen that ” @alice_gao liked your photo“, and two second later I had another notification, oh I will say it wasn’t a little, it was a BIG BIG surprise that my role-model on photography a.k.a Queen of Instagram liked my pictures. I had no words to express my feeling (sounds garish huh? sorry :P), but that’s fine, I felt spring of joy for that. Seriously.

If you ever read my write-ups about Alice Gao, either in Bahasa Indonesia or in English, or if you’re a reader or a lurker of this blog, I’ve mentioned her for quite often that she inspired me a lot in photography. By reading her over-stunning blog (damn! I just opened hers to get the link and found she posted a new post, what a beautiful content Alice!), her journey when she decided to quit her job in two companies (hope my retention is right :P) then she emptied her bank account and chose to be a professional photographer specialized in Food and Lifestyle. For me it was awesome, it needs brave to struggle on the first time she became a freelancer and now we can see who Alice Gao is.

You know what? I think I will do the same!

These are the two (whole version) that I took from my iPhone 1. Cheese cake and Americano. After Work and 2.This morning. An apple and a glass of wine.

I couldn’t remember when exactly I found Alice’s feed on Instagram, she wowed me on the first time and I followed her along. By then, I always remember from her how to post picture in Instagram (once again, hope my retention isn’t wrong, hehe) ; don’t put fifty hastags in one picture (yikes! I agree Alice!), post thoughtful and deliberate pictures as much as you can and feel happy for it”. From Alice, now, I always try to snap better and better through learning by doing. And I think I deserve for this dream kit.

Hey Alice Gao, if you read this post, I would like to say ; I would be super happy if I could spend coffee time and shot gorgeous spaces + mouthwatering foods with you, even just an hour, in NYC. Oh someday.

Another angles of Cheese cake and Americano.

Magnets

LondonMagnets

It’s been a while I haven’t posted a simply thing that makes me simply happy. Yesterday I got these magnets from Rufina, my mate in the office. I thought that she forgot with what I requested to her when she told me London would be her first destination before Istanbul and Miami for her annual holiday. I grabbed my iPhone to capture these three cute magnets, they will make my collection-box fuller :). Which one do you think the cutest? Are you agree with me if I say the BUS!

#SimplyJoy is getting small souvenirs from overseas travelling. First pic is a cute bracelet for my sister that I got from my flatmate last year when he stayed for couple days before heading to Spain, and aw that ceramic mini klompen is so Dutch(!!!).

I’ve been thinking about Amsterdam as my gateway to Europe someday, Oh, Europe, I heart you.

Colorful Hah!

Colorful Huh?

#SimplyJoy is having a ful big bowl of fresh colorful fruits and jellies! Hey I decide to post the dessert I’ve told on my previous post tomorrow! I’m going to lay myself on bed and watch movie, so tired today! Picture above is so neon, captured with Nex7 + Neon effect but the fruits itself was co colorful, love those kiwi, peach and cherries!

Cups of Beauties

Im so giddy for these three pics I chose for this short post, giddy for the color (!), the freshness (sure!), and their beauty. I captured them three days ago on breakfast time (yup! they were my breakfast) on top of my flatmate’s bed :P. Bed? Yup I wanted the dramatic color for the background and I think that black bed cover was perfect. Anyway those cherries were yummy and so fresh! My curiosity for cherry was over, (curiosity?) Yup! It was my first time I tasted fresh cherry, hahaha, poor me :P

Yippie

Confirmed!

#SimplyJoy is getting my ticket ready! It’s been confirmed since, I changed the date, and yippie I can’t wait to fly back to Indonesia. Hmm you know what? I love playing with my iCal and make notes for all I wanna do recently :P

Oh Sky.

I can not lie that I miss Indonesia either food or her breathtaking scenery. I do miss beaches and perfect sunrise/sunset, I really do. Indonesia such an amazing heaven on the planet where splendid and mesmerizing sceneries could find easily, mountainsea, beach, deep sea, oh I proud. I cant wait for my leave this year and stay for days in the exotic island, heading the ocean, feel the breeze, clear sky, orangish sunset, nice foods, hmm I cant stop thinking.

Here some snaps that I took randomly few days ago here, small moments that made me forget my endless works for minutes.

Oh Kecap!

Oh Kecap

Segitu pentingnya kah Kecap? Oh yes bagi saya. Kenapa?
