Dazzling Oranges

Lately I’ve been missing a bright sky that brings me sunset though I do love the rain in the night and a cold peaceful morning either. Almost everyday here is gloomy, rainy and windy that makes me kindly miss simply joy like sunset. When all I need is just a cup of hot tea and thinking for all my dreams, staring to the sky and believe that there is nothing impossible. When all I need is just to live my life and enjoy every obstacles, every rejoice, and all the things that make me grateful to be alive.

There was a day when I was in the middle of many deadlines and stress on my head, I sat down on an old car and took minutes to enjoy this dazzling orange. I couldn’t resist for an iPhone snap below.

Domicile

I’d mentioned on this blog couple weeks before I went home that I couldn’t wait to visit some new gorg cafes and restaurants in my hometown. Domicile was among. It was one of my ‘must-visit’ places this year after I heard so many instagrammers posted it as one of the hottest places in Surabaya (oh, well you’ll see many people play with their camera at Domicile). I went there twice, first time was a special one.

I finally had a short yet quality time with my crazy best friends, Maya, Ruli and Winda after a year (it was so sad Ayos couldn’t come). I was so super excited because we met and spent Friday noon in Domicile. I was excited because of three things. One, yes because I had an opportunity to see them in Friday noon and enjoyed some fancy foods. Second, I finally could meet with Ranu, Maya’s toddler. He was totally super cute (look at him here). Last thing was after from Domicile we still could go around to find sweets (Rifda joined us), took Ranu to City Hall to play water (oh Maya, come on, bring him to a proper water park :P) with lots of laugh and full of joy from noon to evening. We spent half day until Maya and Ranu had to come back to Malang, Winda had to meet her family for quality time, I had to visit Zara store, and Ruli had finished became our driver that day (:P).

Second time in Domicile when I met Wana. That noon was a slightly different when I took minutes (I left Wana with our pizza :P) to play more with my mirrorless. I realised that week was my last week in Indonesia so that I tried as much as I could to capture the beauty of spaces. I was impressed with the beauty of the interior and the elements, natural light everywhere, and for sure, that tiles. Let these photos tell you more.

I didn’t take a deep attention to the food just because Domicile is quite new opened, the signature taste wasn’t strong enough for me (maybe this isn’t fair enough cause I haven’t tried a whole menu). But I was quite thrilled with the food presentation (I know I become crazy every time I see beautiful white plates :P). I didn’t take food pictures a lot when I was there, just iPhone and mirrorless pictures below when I had fun with Maya, Ruli and Winda (hand-pose here wasn’t an impromptu! :P).

I think I should try sweets on top.

P.S. Well, that time they played a little ‘cinema’ that our meeting would never be happened (sigh). I couldn’t imagine if we couldn’t make it that day cause I know, it was not easy to gather us when we had our own events, but I thanked God. I thanked also to three of them for their time, tho.

In The Name of White

Recently I’m in the mood of simplicity for picture. I always love to see white as a main background that makes the object comes very clean and crisp. I love how black and white picture is so artistic and dramatic, like some of iPhone pictures below (I picked randomly for this post, some you have seen them on my Instagram).

Cherries Play

An impromptu shoot this late noon was another experiment of background. If you are a reader of this blog or you have read this post before (oops, I know I wrote that post in Bahasa Indonesia, okay lemme tell you :P), I used my black shirt for that ‘Pecel’ cause I couldn’t find a contrast background. It sounds funny but it is true. I used my ‘I-have-not-ironed-that-shirt’ and I think it was not bad. So, this noon, when I saw my remaining cherries from yesterday breakfast (previous post! :)) in the fridge, my mind thought about something ; let’s play with various backgrounds and, here they are :

All of those background are my shirts and a hoody. I really wish I had a real studio for food photography include props and hm, pro camera :P, the second picture was taken with an iPhone, yup, for Instagram purpose!.

ORE

When I met with Putri at Carpentier Kitchen where is located just by behind of ORE Store last year, I didn’t take attention to what and what they have there. I just impressed a little by the vibe of their industrial look. Then, in my second time visited that dangerous fashion outlet, I took home two shirts, and this, and that.

Here, I just wanted to share some snaps from my mirroless from last year, oops!

I heard a lot of cute places in Surabaya are ‘happening’ right now. I bet myself can’t wait to visit those ‘instagrammable’ places in the late noon, looking for natural light and play with cameras (I hope I can control myself from any dangerous there :)). Oh, when I stumbled around my Instagram page to find those rucksack bag and Spanish casual summer sandals, I realised that I took those iPhone pics a year ago which means….. I’ll be home soon :P.

Hello June!

O-maigah. I just had a quick dinner meal and felt blessed. This week such a very, ve-ry hec-tic week. Fiuh, working for five different events at five different venues in the same day was insanely ridiculous. I went upside down (I bet I went a little bit insane, worked two days without food. So poor).

I’m sitting on my bed right now, trying to enjoy every second to say hello to June. Yeay, June means I’m getting closer to go home to Indonesia! :)), Should I start to count down? Nope, still quite far tho (yes, Zis, you’ll have bunch of works in June :|). Okay guys, hope you don’t mind for this gorg, Peony, to brighten up this blog (ssst, she is my fav flower :)). iPhone snaps here.

P.S. Oh you guys who love flowers, FYI, you can see how Soraj Prathnadi snaps simply beautiful flowers in his Instagram :). That one in B&W was white Peony, tho. I love how that version popping up among the Pinkies.

Again!

Omai, sorry guys if you think I’m a garish person, hah. Just wanted to put this photo, to let you know that my iPhone version liked by Alice Gao minutes ago. Again, sorry for being garish :P.

Alice, you are my inspiration in photography. You know that :)

Again!

P.S. If you are in Instagram, you can see iPhone pics I took inspired by Alice Gao, with #inspiredbyalicegao hashtag. Which one do you prefer guys, mirrorless above or the one in my Instagram? :P. It looks easy to arrange things and capture them, in fact, it doesn’t sound that easy, tho.

These Beauties

Hello there! I couldn’t believe that this month is so hectic. I couldn’t even believe either, when I had to stay at home a whole day, worked for some concepts yesterday. Yes, on Sunday? Oh, whatta life.

Here, I just wanted to pop-in a bit from food pictures. I’ve lingered among my random photos inside my hard drive and found something that I thought, they are too pretty not-to-be-shared on this blog.

Sometime, I always take more attention to every details. It always mesmerise me, for every single details that God has created on each of them.

Before I had an idea to post this, I was editing some pictures for food-lodge-upcoming post. Nevertheless I found difficulties editing some of them, it means that I have to postpone for a while and try to find inspiration again to present those pictures like what I had in mind. This is just a post how I remind my first iPhone.

Before I used an iPhone, I had Sony Xperia Acro-S that just couple months I left it. I bought it just because I was fooled-mesmerized with the features on the ads especially the waterproof thing. I found myself wasn’t happy with the camera until I realized one thing ; I had no doubt and regret to get an iPhone5 a.k.a my casual camera after all. I’ve enjoyed my first iPhone especially the clearness of its camera then until the last day of 2013, my heart was broken after my iPhone accidentally fell down from 5 feet high. I couldn’t believe what was going on just a second after I tried to capture my wrist watch with an iPhone on my right hand. I thought playing with natural light was good enough just because the afternoon light was clear and bright. Sadly when I was trying to straighten my left hand precisely with the grid on iPhone’s camera, my right hand was slighty shaking and boom, an iPhone laid on the ground immediately. Oh dear God, I couldn’t believe what I saw that day, the screen cracked by pieces.

Hey you! Because of you :(
Hey you! Because of you :(

The function itself is still works yet sadly the price to change the screen only quite costly here. Afterwards I decided to get new one I’m using right now even my flatmate mocked me why I chose the same phone (oh even the new one has double GB memory. 64!) rather than the 5s. I answered that I couldn’t spend ridiculously $400 extra for 32GB of 5s after my own fault? Absolutely such a wise decision I made even yeah I know, 5s’s camera is something else but I mean, why I have to spend so much from my saving money after I made a fault?. Sigh.

O I think I talked too much. I never mind to share this stupid moment here though so lets back to the point. I’ve posted pictures quite many captured with an iPhone, but on this post named ‘iTrace’ I would like to share some of my favorite shots I took randomly three days before bye-bye-iPhone5-moment. This shows a little side of my indulgence in mobile-photography. The last one is one of my fav picture from my 64GB I took on 3rd of January.

Inspirations

Inspirations

I can’t even lie that I’m officially addicted to Instagram and the best thing from that is I can find so many inspirations from so many many talented photographers outside there. Daily!. O really, yes really, they are beyond awesome. I can’t even speak when I found Pei Ketron (I’m going to post about her :))) She’s beyond crazzzzy brilliant photographer I heart!) after I found Alice Gao (No secret that I’m among of her fans :) iPhone picture I took this morning, above, is #inspiredbyalicegao :)).

As a person who still learning, it’s such a simply joy finding some inspirations through the air. Since I started my Tumblr, I found easily Instagramers’s wowed site I’ve followed along. Here some my favorites you should put attention too like I do :

The easiest way to learn photography is to pay attention to them and keep shooting with your own camera, afterwards, keep learning and find your own style :)

Aw did I mention that those sites contain wowwide photographs? with clean and crisp background (dreamy blog that I always love so much!) Yihaa, you eyes will be pampered!

Happy Friday folks!

Azis.
